School Sports Day

Als works very hard on his favourite game.
The school sports day held on the 31st Oct 2008. As usual the junior grade was following their class teacher to participate in the games. The day was a bit chilling out in the wind, and very overcast. Yey! not too hot for kids running around at the oval.
Sports finished at 1.15pm. He was exhausted and surely he will sleep well tonight. Hee.

Wall-E - The Movie

We all like to watch a movie. I usually pick a good movie to watch, sometimes for goodness sake, I have to acompany Als to watch his movie too. This year we have watched a few so called nice movies to the general level. Wall-E is one of the favourite movies in our top rank. From the script to the graphic, I enjoy it, so does Als.
The story is about a robot named WALL-E who is designed to clean up a polluted Earth. He eventually falls in love with another robot named EVE, and follows her into outer space on an adventure.

Lake Mountain Alpine Resort

It is quite hard to update a blog in time especially for a women keep chasing the time everyday right? ok, apologised for the late update which I suppose to write this about 6 weeks ago :P haha...

I promised Als since he was 3 that I will bring him to see the snowy mountain as soon as I got time :S. He has remembered that until today he is now 7 and his best friend Ben went to the Lake Mountain. He was very unhappy that I didn't fullfil my promise. Ok, promise is the promise I must do it and let's do it!

Lake Mountain, located about 120km North East from Melbourne. About 2 hours drive from the City or Airport. I would say it is more to local tourist attraction. If you are driving or going by coach, you will be passing by the world famous beautiful Yarra Valley. The nearest town to Lake Mountain was Marysville and they cater for most of the accomodations requirement for visitors. It takes 25 minutes drive from Marysville to Lake Mountain.

During the winter snowy season, it is always packed during the weekend. Because as I said Lake Mountain attracts most local tourist and most families just came here for a day trip to have some fun on taboganing and slides. We chose to go on Thursday to try to avoid the big crowd.

So we made it! tadaa... everybody slept early the night before just to make sure we could make the right trip without any delay and enjoy the rest of the day. please read the descriptions with some of the pictures shown below.

Old people say the early bird always gets the worm, we started our journey at 6.30am. I have never seen Bell Street so quiet more like a death town, still a few cars on the road but compare to what you see during day time.

7.30am Passing through Healsville and Yarra Valley, we also saw some Air Balloons. One of them was quite near to the highway (it looks near but I am quite sure they were couple kilometres away lah). It's quite a facinating view with the right direction of beautiful sunrise with a few Air Balloons flying in the air, thousands of farm animals enjoying the gracious morning breakfast at the greenery fields until I forgot to take more picture argh...

ARE WE THERE YET?! if you are a parent, you know how it is when you go travelling with your kid/s.

7.45am Beautiful scenery at mountain drive, you can see the cold atmosphere is getting close to us from top down to the road.

8.10am ahh...... ahhh... screaming..!! xo!@%#^^&&$% we are here we are here we are here! the whole car was jumping and shaking due to the excitement. but we only have one little 7 yr old kid.. (strange) to make the car shake. That's only one little spot of icy patch that was left overnight at the half way of our mountain journey. I cooled him down :‘not yet!! but we are very close.’

After 10 minutes, at this moment, i can't do much as even Mick was so excited he said:'wow, this is the first time I have seen the snow in my entire life’
(:S:S what the) ok we all were so excited!

This picture is shown full of love from Aunty Carolyn (the waterproof blue suit), Aunty Mui (the winter jacket), M Silver (the spiderman glove), me made the beanie and shoe? nah we hired the shoe.

8.45am Getting ready for the slides.
It was not that cold from what we expected, about 2 degrees.

Went first few trips with Mick.

Mick was exhausted, now my turn.

I was tired, Als still hasn't had enough, he went by himself again.

and again...
Later he came to us said:'come on, don't be lazy'

after few more rounds, he still dosen't wan't to get out from the tube.
We came early in time, enough to enjoy the slides only ourselves alone for the full two hours. That's great. When the crowd starts coming you will need to queue and give way. But it's time for us to go....

Als found a little igloo to play for 15mins before we head to change and ready for lunch.
It was a perfect day trip and when we reached home we still have time for a short snooze before start up the shop which was fantastic!
